Our Beliefs

The sum of all our theological beliefs is Jesus Christ.

Everything we believe - all the details of our doctrine - spring from knowing God through His Son Jesus Christ. He's the reason we exist, the goal we aim for, and the explanation of life!

God

We believe that God is eternal in existence, and that He is a spiritual being and a personal being. He is one God yet three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, unchangeable, holy, righteous, merciful and loving.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus, the Son, was born of a virgin and lived like other men, yet without any sin. He is fully man and fully God. He gave His own life on a cross for our salvation, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of His Father making intercession for all men.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit being the third person of the trinity, is a personal, spiritual being. He is coequal with God the Father and Jesus Christ. His purpose is to bear witness of Christ among the unbelievers and to regenerate and guide the believer in service for God.

Man

We believe that man was created in God's image. Man was created perfect but sin by disobedience caused man’s fall and now all men have inherited a sinful nature. Every human will experience physical and spiritual death due to this sinful nature.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ's finished work on the cross and is available to all men. Salvation is the only way to avoid spiritual punishment and separation from God for eternity. Salvation involves turning away from the sinful nature and believing in the work of Jesus Christ. Once saved the sinner becomes a new person, cleansed by Christ's blood from eternal punishment and set apart of God's service. That he is sealed for all eternity and eternally a part of God’s family.

The Church

We believe that the New Testament church was founded and led by Jesus Christ. The universal church is the body of Christ made up of all believers, past, present, and future. The local church is an independent body of believers whose purpose is to spread the gospel and assist in the growth of the individual believer. The local church cannot exist without the full support and cooperation of those who are part of the body. We believe that the church has been given two ordinances: baptism and the Lord's supper. The Bible clearly teaches baptism by immersion. This symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Baptism is not a form of salvation, nor does it make one clean from their sin, nor does it wash away sin. A new Christian, in obedience to Christ, should take part in baptism to identify themselves with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. Secondly, The Lord's Supper is a memorial of the death of Christ and is to be celebrated periodically until His return. The requirements for participating in the Lord's supper are salvation and a right relationship with God.

The Bible

We believe that The Word of God consists of 66 books, divided into the Old (39 books) and New (27 books) Testaments. We believe in the Verbal, Plenary, Inerrant Word of God. The Bible is verbally inspired (God-breathed) by God and was without error in the original writings. That God has preserved its integrity so we can confidently trust the Bible we have today as the final authority for life. We further hold to the King James Bible and the Textus Receptus from which it was translated.

Angels

We believe that Angels are created beings whose main purpose is to glorify and worship God.

Satan

We believe that Satan and his host of fallen angels are also created beings. Satan once was a chief angel but was cast out of heaven by God for his sin. With him one third of the angels followed. Satan and his demons now work in the world among us to hinder the work of Christ and His church.

The End Times

We believe that the end times will be revealed by an imminent, pre-tribulational, pre-millennial retum of Christ for His church. He will literally appear in the clouds to catch away His own (the Bride of Christ). There will be a literal seven year tribulation, a period of judgement of mankind on the earth. After which there will be a literal thousand-year kingdom set up by Christ on this earth. All men will be bodily resurrected to stand before the judgment of God. The unsaved will be sentenced to eternal punishment.
